Intervention:
The smallest blood vessels at the leg are sclerosed by an injection of a sclerosing substance or by a punctiform electric current treatment or laser treatment.
Duration:
15 to 30 minutes
Anaesthesia:
not required
Ambulatory or in-stationary:
ambulatory
Post-treatment:
Sometimes a pressure bandage, especially in regard of bigger veins.
Risks:
Sometimes longer, persistent bruises, a second or third session may be required after 4 weeks, possible recurrences.
Recovery:
The patient is not restricted in regard of his ability to work.
