Intervention:
It is not possible that scars disappear completely. Broad scars become narrower and scars under tension are loosened. A lot of techniques such as the simple extirpation or the complicated Z plastic or other plastics are designated to loosen the tension of scars and to lay these scars in so-called tension lines within the skin.
Surgeries - Scar corrections
Duration:
1 to 3 hours depending on the scope of the intervention
Anaesthesia:
local or general anaesthesia depending on the scope of the intervention
Ambulatory or in-stationary:
individually, depending on the scope of the intervention
Post-treatment:
Swelling, haematomas and tension sensations are normal. The scars correspond to the tension lines of the skin.
Risks:
Wound healing disorders and inflammations. The scars can get broader again even after a correction.
Recovery:
The sutures are removed after one to two weeks. The patient can go back to work and is able to do normal activities after one to two weeks. Sports are possible after four weeks.
