Intervention:
Too small and underdeveloped or deformed calves are enlarged by implantation of special silicone implants.
Duration:
1 hour

Post-treatment:
The scar is about 2 cm long and is situated a little bit below the popliteal region. The patient has to wear a compression bandage for 2 weeks. Temporary swelling, pressure sensation and a slight pain are normal.
Risks:
Inflammation, slipping of the implant and increased wound liquid formation are possible but very seldom.
Recovery:
The sutures are situated within the skin and are removed after 10 days. The patient can go back to work after 2 weeks and sports can be started after 4 weeks.
