Intervention:
Reconstruction of a partly or completely removed breast due to breast cancer; as far as it is possible, endogenic tissue from the hypogastric region and from the back is used. Sometimes, an additional implantation of modern silicon prostheses becomes necessary. The missing nipple is reformed later.

Depending on the extraction site, the scars are situated at the hypogastrium comparable to an abdominoplasty or they are situated at the back at the height of the bra belt and are spindle-shaped at the new breast.
Swelling and a tension sensation is normal. Slight pain is treated by medications.
Risks:
Increased bleeding, wound healing disorders with necrobiosis in regard of tissue parts, infections, thrombosis, poor scarring
Recovery:
In-stationary stay for 6 to 8 days, the sutures are removed after 2 to 3 weeks; back to work after 3 weeks and sports after 4 weeks.
